Nativity Raises $759.40 for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
The dimes kept on rolling in, and Nativity Students came together to raise $759.40 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The final figure included $205 from the “Wear Blue” dress down day and the balance from the Dimes for Diabetes collection that went on all last week. Student Maggie Goulette helped to organize the events with her mom, Lindsay Goulette, younger sister Callie, and Nurse Hana Muller. Maggie has juvenile diabetes and is very committed to JDRF. “We are very proud of all of our students who got behind this drive to support the efforts of one of our own,” commented Principal Robert M. Cluckey. “This shows what can happen when we as a school pull together for something real-ly important.” In October, Nativity students’ generosity also resulted in $150 raised for Kids Escaping Drugs on “Wear Red Day” during Red Ribbon Week.
